Woman in Shivpuri climbs into well after quarrel, husband apologises before villagers to bring her out

A quarrel between a husband and wife in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district has drawn attention after a video of it was shared on social media. Minor squabbles between couples are common, but this time an angry woman went and sat inside a well. The video is now widely discussed among users.

It is said that whenever the woman's husband left the house, he locked the door from outside. The wife had been upset for some time over this habit and the restrictions. An argument broke out between the two over this, and it escalated to the point where the wife ran and climbed down into the well.

When news that the woman had jumped into the well spread in the village, people gathered at the spot. To save her, villagers lowered a cot into the well with a rope. The woman held the rope and the cot tightly but flatly refused to come out.

She made it clear that she would not come out of the well until her husband apologised with folded hands in front of the villagers. Sitting inside the well, she stuck to her demand, and the drama went on for a long time.

In the end, the husband had to give in to his wife's insistence. In the presence of the villagers, he folded his hands before her, held his ears in apology and promised not to repeat the mistake. After the public apology, the woman's anger subsided and she came out of the well safe and sound.
