A video from Jaipur, Rajasthan, is circulating widely on social media. It shows so many people crammed into a jeep that it looks as if an entire extended family has climbed into one vehicle. When there was no room left inside, some women were seen travelling on the roof.

The incident reportedly took place just 200 metres from Phagi police station in Jaipur. The dangerous journey was under way in broad daylight so close to a police station, and questions are now being raised about the administration.

A jeep can normally seat 5 to 7 people comfortably. In the viral video, the number appeared to be five to six times that, leaving many viewers stunned. Rules aside, packing in so many people is an invitation to an accident. If the vehicle speeds up or takes a sudden turn and loses balance, the lives of those seated on the roof and on the outside of the vehicle could be in danger. The video also shows women travelling alongside men on the perilous ride.

The video was shared from an account named @iAtulKrishan1. The post says overloading in Phagi, Jaipur Rural, has raised safety concerns. It says a 16-seater jeep was allegedly carrying more than 50 people. According to the post, people were tightly packed inside the jeep and several women were allegedly sitting on the roof. The post is dated October 3, 2026.

Several users commented on the video. One wrote that the traffic police and the transport department had been seriously negligent in their duty. Another wrote, "Forty people travelling on a seat meant for 10 is truly deadly." A third wrote, "Instead of so many people travelling in one jeep, they should have hired another jeep."

People often risk their lives while travelling. Such scenes are mostly seen on railway journeys, but this case of overloading in a jeep has now become a talking point on social media. The video shows around 20 to 30 people in one jeep, which has left viewers stunned.
