Vi launches India's first prepaid family plan with data sharing

Telecom company Vi has launched India's first prepaid family plan. Under it, prepaid customers can create a "Vi Prepaid Family" from anywhere in the country on the Vi app. The plan offers data sharing, assured savings and special offers.

The company believes that, in keeping with its "Vi Pe Sab Hai VIP" philosophy, every user should get important benefits. Vi has brought out this plan to put that thinking into practice.

The plan differs considerably from older, conventional plans. Family members can share data with one another from anywhere in the country. The new facility changes the conventional prepaid experience. For instance, if a family member has run out of data or is low on it, customers can easily share data with them.

Internet data is essential today. If data suddenly runs out, using digital services can become difficult. Video calls, online classes, maps and essential apps cannot run without data. In such situations, people share mobile data with family members to help them. The Vi Prepaid Family plan is now changing that picture.

All active Vi prepaid customers can create a family group of up to four members on the Vi app. The group will have one main member and three other members. Each member keeps their own base prepaid plan and its validity. They also get the facility to share data and stay connected with family.

Members of Vi Prepaid Family can share 500 MB of data with a member whose data has run out or is low. This helps that member stay online. In addition, every member of the group will get an assured discount of up to 10 per cent on every recharge made through the Vi app.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan features in the plan's new advertising campaign. The campaign highlights the plan's key features and the brand promise "Vi Pe Sab Hai VIP". In the advertisement, Shah Rukh Khan explains how this Vi prepaid plan keeps family members living in different cities of India always connected to one another.

Customers can also form their family group across different telecom circles. They can add eligible family members to it and enjoy family management and special rewards along with data sharing.
