Toyota Innova Hycross facelift to launch in India on November 25
Toyota has announced the launch date for the facelifted Innova Hycross, the first major update to the premium MPV since its 2022 debut.
The facelifted Toyota Innova Hycross will be launched in India on November 25, 2026. The company has announced the date for the new version of its premium MPV. Significant changes are expected on both the exterior and in the cabin. The Innova Hycross arrived in the Indian market in late 2022, and this will be its first major update.
Several changes to the front of the vehicle have been spotted during testing. The new model is likely to get a wider, angular grille, slimmer projector headlamps and a redesigned bumper. Pixel-style LED fog lamps, new alloy wheels and altered tail-lamp graphics are also possible. The side profile, roofline and overall size are expected to remain the same as the current model.
No major change appears likely in the engine either. The current 2.0-litre petrol engine option is expected to continue. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 173 hp, while the petrol-electric hybrid system has a combined output of 184 hp. The petrol version gets a CVT and the hybrid model an e-CVT gearbox. By the current ARAI-certified figures, the petrol model returns 16.13 kmpl and the hybrid 23.24 kmpl.
The cabin changes are being gauged from the update to the Kijang Innova Zenix launched in Indonesia. The new model may get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The current model offers a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, power-adjustable seats and ottoman seats in the second row. The facelift is likely to bring new interior colours, upholstery and updated software.
There is also talk of E30 petrol support. The facelift may offer greater support for ethanol-blended petrol. The company has earlier shown a flex-fuel Hycross prototype that runs on E85 ethanol. The new model is said to be able to support E30 or higher ethanol blends, but no official information has emerged on this so far.
The likely ex-showroom price of the Innova Hycross facelift is between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 35 lakh. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be its closest rival. With the new design, hybrid technology and cabin changes, the MPV could become a fresh option for buyers.
