Toyota Kirloskar Motor appears to be preparing to bring three important vehicles to India in 2027. They are likely to include a facelift of the Innova Hycross, a next-generation Fortuner and a fully electric MPV. The new models could strengthen the company's presence in the premium SUV and family car segments.
First, the Innova Hycross facelift. The updated model could appear in early 2027. Changes are expected at the front: styling inspired by the ninth-generation Hilux, new headlamps, an updated radiator grille, new fog lamps and revised bumpers. The alloy wheels and tail lamps may also change.
In the cabin, the vehicle could get new trim and upholstery, along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. No change to the engine is expected. Petrol and strong hybrid options may continue.
The second vehicle is the next-generation Fortuner. It could arrive in India in the first half of 2027. The SUV's global debut is reportedly planned for December 1, 2026. The new Fortuner could get a powerful front design like the Hilux.
Inside, it is likely to get a 12.3-inch digital display, a touchscreen infotainment system, electric power steering, a panoramic sunroof and more advanced driver assistance systems. Major changes to the engine, transmission and 4WD system are not necessarily expected.
The third vehicle is Toyota's electric MPV, which could be introduced in the second half of 2027. It will be a corporate sibling of Maruti Suzuki's upcoming YMC electric MPV and could compete with the Kia Carens Clavis EV. It is likely to have three-row seating and front-wheel drive, with two single-motor options.
One variant could get a 48.8 kWh LFP battery and the other a 61.1 kWh LFP battery. The top variant could have a range of about 525 km on a single charge. Final details of all three vehicles will be clear only after the company announces them.
