Shots were fired at the car of Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday evening, October 18, 2026, causing panic in the neighbourhood. Mumbai Police have now detained two suspects from the Surat Express. It is not yet clear whether the two are accused in the case.

According to information available, three unidentified attackers who arrived on a bike fired at Shroff's car in the Pushpa Narsee Park area of Juhu. Shroff escaped unhurt. His driver and one other person were injured. Police said Shroff is safe. The claim that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attack is being investigated, and Mumbai Police have formed special teams for this.

Shroff had reportedly gone to Pushpa Narsee Park to play football. He was fired upon while returning home by car. A crowd of fans was around at the time, and the sudden gunfire spread fear among people. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

Shroff's driver, Firdaus, suffered an injury to his hand. Another person near the spot was also hurt. Both the injured were admitted to hospital for treatment.

A list of three people described as the arrested accused has also surfaced, citing sources. One is a 17-year-old minor from Sonipat district in Haryana, whose name is not being given here. The second is Ritik Kumar alias Roshan, 22, originally from Piprai village in Begusarai district of Bihar, who currently lives in Andheri West, Mumbai. He works as a Rapido rider. The third is Rehan, 18, who lives in the Idgah Colony area of Sonipat district, Haryana.

Police are also examining whether Shroff's house and the ground where he goes to play football every day were surveyed before the firing. They are checking whether the accused had gathered advance information about the actor's movements, the route of his vehicle and security in the area. It is suspected that Shroff's movements had been watched for some days. This has raised questions over whether the attack was planned in advance.

To trace the suspects, Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch relied on CCTV footage, information from eyewitnesses and details of the suspects' travel. Police stepped up the investigation after receiving word that some suspects were preparing to flee towards Gujarat. The suspects were detained with the help of Kota Police in Rajasthan. Their role in the attack will become clear only through the official investigation.

Mumbai Police are taking special precautions on security after the incident. Police deployment has reportedly been increased outside Shroff's house in the Carter Road area of Bandra, and suspicious activity around the house is being watched. The incident has brought the safety of Bollywood artistes back into discussion.

A country-made pistol is suspected to have been used in the firing on Shroff's BMW. Initial forensic examination has reportedly yielded some important clues about the weapon. However, which weapon was used will be known conclusively only after the official investigation report.

The firing on a well-known actor's car in a crowded area has raised questions over Mumbai's security arrangements. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken the matter seriously and directed the police to take strict action. The investigation continues into who supplied the weapons to the attackers, whether they had carried out a recce earlier, and what the real motive of the attack was.
