Mumbai Crime Branch says the Lawrence Bishnoi gang used extortion money, a crypto wallet and foreign funding to finance the firing at actor Tiger Shroff's home.
The Mumbai Crime Branch, investigating the conspiracy behind the firing at actor Tiger Shroff, has uncovered startling details. The probe has found that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang used extortion money to carry out the attack, relying on a crypto wallet and foreign funding.
According to the Crime Branch investigation, the Bishnoi gang used a particular cryptocurrency wallet for its transactions. Abhishek Pandit, brother of the main conspirator Anil Pandit, transferred a full Rs 47 lakh through the crypto wallet to the bank account of his wife, Suneha Pandit. The transactions took place between August 2022 and July 2024.
To mislead investigating agencies and hide where the money actually went, the accused used VPN servers in Cambodia and Denmark, the Crime Branch probe has also found.
The money arrived in an account at a Karnal branch of the State Bank of India (SBI). Suneha Pandit then sent the amount on to the accounts of the other accused in the firing case. The money was used to buy a bike, pay hotel expenses and meet other costs.
Rs 27,000 was sent to the account of the accused Ritik in September 2026 to buy the motorcycle used in the incident. A total of Rs 57,000 was sent to Ritik's account, of which Rs 30,000 was transferred just 18 hours before the firing. Rs 5,000 went to the lodge account of the shooters Phool Singh and Rehan, while Rs 50,000 was transferred to the account of the accused Amar.
The Karnal SBI account was in Abhishek Pandit's name, but it was linked to the mobile number of his wife, Suneha. The Crime Branch has seized this phone from Suneha. Investigating officers suspect that Suneha knew of the entire conspiracy beforehand and was transferring money to the accused at her husband's instruction. The Crime Branch is continuing its investigation into the case.
