Shots were fired at the vehicle of actor Tiger Shroff in Juhu, considered an upscale part of Mumbai, causing a major stir across the state. Three unidentified men who arrived on a motorcycle fired 4 to 5 rounds towards Shroff's car in the Pushpa Park area of Juhu. A video of the incident has now surfaced.

Shroff is safe in the sudden attack. However, his driver and an autorickshaw driver were injured. Given the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately began a search for the attackers.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is said to have claimed responsibility for the attack. A post in the name of gangster Anil Pandit is circulating on social media. According to the post, Pandit claimed to be speaking on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and appears to have claimed responsibility for the alleged attack on Shroff.

The incident has drawn sharp reactions from political circles. Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant strongly criticised Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government. In his official social media post, Sawant said, "The news of the firing on actor Tiger Shroff's car is extremely shocking. What exactly is going on in Mumbai? The murder of Baba Siddique, the firing on Salman Khan's house, the open threats being received by many actors and producers; all of this clearly shows that law and order in Mumbai has completely collapsed."

Sawant further said, "There is no law and order left in the state, there is complete lawlessness, and the Chief Minister has failed utterly. There was a time earlier when people said 'Maharashtra has become Bihar'; but looking at the terrible situation now, we have reached the unfortunate point of saying Bihar is better. We publicly condemn this government, which has pushed Mumbai into the terror of criminals and gangsters."

Incidents of firing targeting well-known celebrities and their homes have risen sharply in Mumbai over the past few months. A review of earlier such incidents follows.

In April 2024, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired 5 rounds outside Salman Khan's residence, Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for that attack too. In that case, Mumbai Police took stern action and registered cases against several criminals.

In February 2026, unidentified persons fired outside the residence of noted film director Rohit Shetty in the upscale Juhu area. In that case too, the police investigated swiftly and arrested some main suspects and shooters.

In January 2026, actor and film critic Kamaal R. Khan (KRK) was detained by Mumbai Police and legal action was taken against him, on the ground that he had a direct link to a shooting and firing case in Oshiwara (Andheri, Mumbai).
