Tecno launches Spark 50S 5G in India, priced from Rs 19,999
Smartphone maker Tecno has launched the Spark 50S 5G in India, with sales on Amazon from October 20 and a starting price of Rs 19,999.

Smartphone maker Tecno has launched its new device, the Tecno Spark 50S 5G, in India. The phone will join the recently launched Tecno Spark 50 5G line-up. Sales will begin on October 20.
The company has introduced it in two colours, Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue, and in two RAM and storage variants. The starting price is under Rs 20,000.
The phone has come to India in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 19,999, while the 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 22,999. From October 20 it will be sold on the e-commerce platform Amazon.
The Tecno Spark 50S 5G is a dual-SIM phone launched with Android 16. It has a 6.78-inch LCD touchscreen. The display resolution is HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels) and the refresh rate goes up to 120Hz. It also has a pixel density of 260 ppi.
The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset built on a 6nm process. It has six efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz and two performance cores with a peak clock speed of up to 2.5GHz. The phone also comes with the military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
The phone is claimed to offer drop resistance from up to 1.5 metres. For protection from water and dust, it has an IP64-rated build. The company claims the phone can remain safe even when kept in water at a depth of up to 20 cm for 5 minutes.
On the camera front, the rear has a single 50-megapixel camera with an LED flash. An 8-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies and video calling. The phone has a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and GPS.
