Tech company Infinix is set to launch its new smartphone in India in October. The phone, called the Infinix GT 50 Pro, will be launched in India on October 27, the company has announced.

A teaser image from the company confirms that the smartphone will be sold on Flipkart. It will be the new model in the company's gaming-focused GT series and will replace the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which was launched in India in June last year.

On design, Infinix says the GT 50 Pro comes with a Cyber Mecha design language, inspired by the sculpted forms and aerodynamic lines of supercars. The phone's 2D composite rear panel has a Kevlar-style textured finish. According to the company, this design gives the phone strength and also helps keep its weight low.

The phone will come in two colours, Black Abyss and Red Blaze. The company says special liquid-cooling accents have been added to both. Black Abyss has a green accent, while Red Blaze has a red one.

The phone has Infinix's HydroFlow liquid cooling system, which uses what is described as India's first explicit viewport design. A dedicated window on the rear panel clearly shows the liquid-cooling channels. A special printing process also creates a 3D effect with light and shadow, giving the feel of mechanical pipes.

Infinix says the GT 50 Pro's thermal management system uses the company's flow-channel design. It also includes a dual-pump system to move heat out quickly. The company has claimed that the aim of this new approach is to show the cooling hardware openly rather than hide it inside the phone.

The phone has already been released in some select global markets in April this year. Infinix has also given a glimpse of a whole "ecosystem" around the phone, which means special gaming accessories could also be introduced with it.
