November's first Pradosh Vrat coincides with Dhanteras on a Friday, so worship of Shiva will be offered along with that of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh and Kubera.

The first Pradosh Vrat of November falls on Dhanteras this time. The day is a Friday, so it will be called Shukra Pradosh Vrat. Worship of Lord Shiva will be accompanied by worship of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh and Kubera, and Dhanteras is being seen as a special occasion to seek Shiva's blessings.

The Pradosh Vrat day is dedicated to Mahadev. The fast is observed on the Trayodashi tithi of both the Krishna Paksha and the Shukla Paksha of every month. According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik begins at 10:30 am on November 6 and ends at 10:47 am on November 7. Since the Trayodashi tithi falls in the Pradosh Kaal on November 6, the fast will be observed on that day.

On November 6, the puja time for the Pradosh Vrat is from 5:33 pm to 8:09 pm, a total of 2 hours 37 minutes. The Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:52 am to 5:44 am. The Abhijit Muhurat is from 11:43 am to 12:26 pm, while the Nishita Muhurat will be from 11:39 pm to 12:31 am.

This year Dhanteras and Shukra Pradosh Vrat fall on the same day. On the occasion, Lord Shiva will be worshipped along with Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh and Kubera.

The method of worship is described as follows. On the day of Pradosh Vrat, bathe in the morning, wear clean clothes and take a vow before Lord Shiva to observe the fast. In the evening, during Pradosh Kaal, offer water, bel leaves and flowers on the Shivling. Light incense and lamps, chant Shiva mantras and read or listen to the Vrat Katha. Finally, perform the aarti of Lord Shiva and pray for happiness and prosperity.

According to religious belief, worshipping Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati during Pradosh Kaal brings devotees the blessing of happiness, peace and prosperity. It is believed that fasting with devotion brings relief from life's troubles and fulfils wishes.
