Dr Kamladevi Awate, joint director of the council, shared the details in a press note.
The contest will have seven groups this time. The first is pre-primary, covering anganwadi workers and supervisors. Next is a group of teachers of Classes 1 and 2. Teachers and headmasters of Classes 3 to 5 form one group, and teachers and headmasters of Classes 6 to 8 another. Secondary and higher secondary teachers, subject assistants and non-teaching staff are also included. In addition, teacher educators (Adhyapak Acharya) and supervisory officers have been placed in the contest.
In the first phase, the contest for the first five groups will be held at the district level. The contest for the sixth and seventh groups will be held at the divisional level of the Regional Education Authority.
The themes that will be given preference have also been specified. Innovations related to the National Education Policy 2020, the revised curriculum, foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), Nipun Maharashtra and learning outcomes will get priority.
To encourage more teachers and officers to take part, principals of the District Institutes of Education and Training have been directed to be appointed as nodal officers.
Participants will have to submit an innovation report. An online link will be provided as per the contest schedule and information sheet. The report must be uploaded on this link within the stipulated time.
Teachers of all media of instruction, including Marathi, can take part. Participants from other media can submit their reports in Marathi or English.
