The date for the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme has been announced. According to the scheme's official social media account, the instalment will be released on October 30, 2026.
On that day, Rs 2,000 will be credited directly into the accounts of eligible farmer families. The money will not pass through any intermediary and will reach bank accounts directly.
Under the scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 a year, paid directly into their bank accounts in three instalments of Rs 2,000. The 23rd instalment was distributed on June 20, 2026. However, the time at which the money reaches each beneficiary's account may vary, depending on their records and the bank's processing.
Completing e-KYC is necessary to receive the instalment. Farmers who have not yet done so should not wait until the last moment and should complete it soon. They should check three things: the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card, the Aadhaar linkage of their bank account, and the status of their land records. Any error in the records, or a pending eligibility check, may delay the payment.
Beneficiaries can also check their status on a mobile phone. For this, open the official PM-KISAN website and select the "Know Your Status" option. After entering the required registration number and verification details, the beneficiary status will be displayed. If e-KYC shows as incomplete, it should be completed as per the instructions given.
There are three ways to do e-KYC. Farmers can complete it online through an OTP. If no mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, or the OTP method is causing trouble, a biometric check can be done at the nearest Common Service Centre. The PM-KISAN app also offers a face authentication facility, which can be used.
With the instalment date fixed, farmers need only keep their paperwork in order so that the Rs 2,000 reaches their accounts without hindrance on October 30.
