Omega Seiki Mobility has announced a new electric vehicle designed specifically for persons with disabilities. The company says the proposed EV will be based entirely on a human-centric approach, meaning the specific needs of persons with disabilities will be given top priority during its development.

While developing the vehicle, the company's main focus will be on safety, comfort and ease of driving. It will also focus on giving users greater independence and dignity during daily travel. The vehicle will be manufactured in India, and while designing it the company will seek suggestions not just from its own engineers but also from users and experts in the field.

According to the company, the vehicle's entire design will be based on a human-centric approach, with attention to making travel safer for persons with disabilities. Various types of technology will be used in the vehicle to ensure persons with disabilities face no difficulty, whether driving in traffic or on open roads.

Dr Udai Narang, founder and managing director of Omega Seiki Mobility, said that in his view a vehicle is not just a means of getting from one place to another, but is linked to independence, dignity and full participation in society. He said the company, guided by this thinking, is trying to ensure the vehicle reaches those who genuinely need it.

The company also said the entire initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable development and easier mobility, has been dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Make in India vision. Omega Seiki Mobility said that drawing on its experience in the electric vehicle sector, it is developing this India-made vehicle with the aim of making it easy for users to operate without any hassle.
