Gold and silver prices ease slightly; 24-carat at Rs 1,49,170 per 10 grams on October 5
Gold and silver rates dipped marginally on October 5, with 24-carat gold at Rs 14,917 a gram and silver at Rs 234.90 a gram.
Gold and silver prices eased slightly today, bringing some relief to buyers. In India on October 5, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 14,917 per gram. The 22-carat variety is at Rs 13,674 per gram and 18-carat gold at Rs 11,188 per gram.
For 10 grams, 22-carat gold costs Rs 1,36,740, 24-carat gold Rs 1,49,170 and 18-carat gold Rs 1,11,880. Silver is priced at Rs 234.90 per gram and Rs 2,34,900 per kg.
Prices were slightly higher a day earlier, on October 4. That day, 24-carat gold was Rs 14,918 per gram, 22-carat Rs 13,675 and 18-carat Rs 11,189. For 10 grams, the rates were Rs 1,36,750 for 22-carat, Rs 1,49,180 for 24-carat and Rs 1,11,890 for 18-carat. Silver sold at Rs 235 per gram and Rs 2,35,000 per kg.
City-wise rates per 10 grams today are as follows. In Bengaluru, 22-carat gold is Rs 1,36,740, 24-carat Rs 1,49,170 and 18-carat Rs 1,11,880. In Delhi, 22-carat gold is Rs 1,36,890, 24-carat Rs 1,49,320 and 18-carat Rs 1,12,030.
In Chennai, 22-carat gold is Rs 1,36,740, 24-carat Rs 1,49,170 and 18-carat Rs 1,12,340. In Surat, 22-carat is Rs 1,36,790, 24-carat Rs 1,49,220 and 18-carat Rs 1,11,930. In Nashik, 22-carat gold is Rs 1,36,770, 24-carat Rs 1,49,200 and 18-carat Rs 1,11,910.
Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow have the same rates as Delhi: Rs 1,36,890 for 22-carat, Rs 1,49,320 for 24-carat and Rs 1,12,030 for 18-carat. In Mumbai, Pune, Kerala, Kolkata, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, 22-carat gold is Rs 1,36,740, 24-carat Rs 1,49,170 and 18-carat Rs 1,11,880.
These prices exclude Goods and Services Tax (GST), TCS and other taxes. Buyers should check with their local jeweller for the exact rate.
