Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to India's T20 squad after four years for New Zealand tour
The BCCI has named the T20 squad for the New Zealand tour, with pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar recalled after four years and Vaibhav Suryavanshi also picked.

India's T20 squad for the upcoming New Zealand tour has been announced. In the team named by the BCCI, fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has returned after four years. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also been selected for the T20 series, along with Shreyas Iyer. India is said to be playing the series under Iyer's captaincy.
The Indian team will leave for New Zealand at the end of this month. The tour will include ODI, T20 and Test series, and will begin with the T20 series.
Bhuvneshwar had been out of the Indian side for a long time. He played his last T20 international against New Zealand on November 22, 2022. He is now set to return after a full four years, again against New Zealand. In that last T20 match, he took one wicket for 35 runs in four overs.
On New Zealand's pitches, the ball swings because of the weather. In such conditions, an experienced swing bowler like Bhuvi is expected to play a very important role. It is being said that this is why he has been given the chance.
Bhuvneshwar's experience will also help guide India's young bowlers in New Zealand's difficult conditions. He has the ability to pick up wickets early in the powerplay. He bowled impressively in the IPL while playing for RCB, and the BCCI has brought him back into the Indian team in view of that performance.
