The Nagpur Police Crime Branch raided Avira Panchakarma and Spa in Kotwal Nagar on October 12, 2026. Police said the spa and panchakarma massage business was allegedly a front for a sex racket. Three women were rescued and a case was registered against two people.

The raid was carried out by a joint team of the Social Security Branch (SSB) and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU). The operation was led by DCP (Crime) Deepak Agrawal and guided by Police Inspector Darshan Patil of the Social Security Branch.

According to police, the spa was being run from Flat No. 200 in Kanta Palace, Kotwal Nagar, an area under the Rana Pratap Nagar police station. The Social Security Branch and the AHTU planned the action after receiving information that illegal activities were allegedly being carried out at the premises.

On October 12, the police team reached the spot with two panch witnesses and a decoy customer and conducted the raid. Police alleged that the operators lured the women with the promise of good earnings in a short time and then pushed them into alleged prostitution by sending them to customers for money. Three women were rescued. The circumstances of these alleged activities are being investigated further.

Police have registered a case against two people. They are Yogesh Ashokrao Ingole, 35, a resident of Geetanagar in the Manewada-Besa area of Nagpur, and Supriya Raju Raikwar, 35, a resident of Bhupesh Nagar in Borgaon, Nagpur.

According to police, the case has been registered as Crime No. 721/2026 under Sections 143(2) and 143(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. The accused are alleged to have carried out illegal activities under the cover of a spa business to make money. The allegations are subject to investigation and court proceedings.

Police Head Constable Laxman Chaure, posted with the Social Security Branch, filed the complaint on behalf of the police. According to the police press note, the action lasted from 4:25 pm to 8:55 pm on October 12. The case was then registered at the Rana Pratap Nagar police station.

Investigating officers are now looking into how long the alleged activities had been going on and whether anyone else was involved. The police press note does not confirm the involvement of any larger network or other suspects. The investigation is continuing, and more details are expected as evidence and the roles of the accused are examined.
