The Crime Branch raided 'Aveera Panchakarma and Spa' in the Kotwal Nagar area of Nagpur and rescued three young women from the premises. Police said prostitution was allegedly being run there under the cover of a spa and panchakarma massage centre. Two accused have been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

The raid was carried out by a joint team of the Crime Branch's Social Security Branch (SSB) and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU). According to police, the centre was operating from Flat No. 200 in Kanta Palace, Kotwal Nagar, under the Rana Pratap Nagar police station limits. On receiving information about alleged immoral activities there, the two units planned the action together.

On October 12, 2026, the police team conducted the raid with the help of two panch witnesses and a decoy customer. Police allege that the operators of the centre lured young women with the promise of earning more money in less time, and sent them to customers, allegedly pushing them into prostitution for financial gain. Three young women were rescued from the spot. Police are now probing the other aspects of the case.

The two booked are Yogesh Ashokrao Ingole (35) and Supriya Raju Raikwar (35). Ingole is described as a resident of Geetanagar, Manewada-Besa, Nagpur, while Raikwar's address is given as Bhupesh Nagar, Borgaon, Nagpur.

Police said a case has been registered under crime number 721/2026 under Sections 143(2) and 143(3) of the BNS and Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. The accused are alleged to have run immoral activities for financial gain under the guise of a spa centre. These allegations will be confirmed only after investigation and judicial process.

The action was led by Crime Branch DCP Deepak Agrawal. The team carried out the raid under the guidance of Social Security Branch Police Inspector Darshan Patil. Police Havaldar Laxman Chaure, posted with the Social Security Branch, filed the complaint on behalf of the state.

According to a press note, the action lasted from 4.25 pm to 8.55 pm on October 12, after which the process of registering the case was completed at Rana Pratap Nagar police station. The press note does not confirm the involvement of any larger network or other persons. Further investigation is expected to bring out details of the duration of the alleged activities, the role of the accused and other aspects.
