Travellers to Navi Mumbai International Airport can now board a direct State Transport (ST) bus from Dadar. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) launched the new Dadar to Navi Mumbai International Airport service on October 7, 2026. Transport Minister and MSRTC chairman Pratap Sarnaik inaugurated it. The service is being seen as a major step towards improving connectivity to the airport and widening the public transport options.
The bus will run over Atal Setu, one of the country's largest sea bridges. Passengers leaving Dadar will get a direct, safe and comfortable journey without trouble along the way. With the service starting from Dadar, one of Mumbai's busiest and most important transport hubs, both air travellers and daily commuters will save time and money. Passengers now have a dependable public transport option and less travel stress.
The bus will leave Dadar and run via Byculla, CSMT railway station, Atal Setu and Gavhan Phata to the Navi Mumbai airport. One bus will leave every hour. Buses from Dadar to the airport will be available from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm. Buses from the airport to Dadar will run from 7 am to 11.10 pm. Air-conditioned E-Shivai buses will be used on these trips.
Fares have been kept affordable, it was stated. From Dadar, Byculla or CSMT to the Navi Mumbai airport, the ticket costs Rs 170 for adults and Rs 85 for children.
The service is not limited to Dadar. To improve airport connectivity further, MSRTC has started bus services on other routes too. These include Borivali to Navi Mumbai International Airport and Swargate to Navi Mumbai International Airport, which will be very useful for people from Pune. The steps will help link the three big cities of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune directly to the airport.
Minister Pratap Sarnaik said, "This bus service is important for linking Navi Mumbai International Airport to MSRTC's extensive public transport network. With the service starting directly from Dadar, a major transport hub in Mumbai, air travellers as well as ordinary citizens will benefit greatly."
Sarnaik also said MSRTC will start more bus services as needed, so that safe, easy and reliable public transport is available up to the airport. Sarnaik noted on social media that the direct service will be a safe, comfortable and reliable option for working people and students as well as air travellers.
