Reaching Navi Mumbai International Airport by public transport has become easier, with the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), or ST, starting a direct bus service from Dadar to the airport. Transport Minister and ST Corporation Chairman Pratap Sarnaik inaugurated the service today.
The bus will run via Atal Setu, giving passengers a direct, safe and comfortable journey from Dadar to the airport.
At the launch, Sarnaik said, "This bus service is important for linking Navi Mumbai International Airport with ST's large public transport network. With a service starting directly from Dadar, a major transport hub of Mumbai, to the airport, air travellers as well as ordinary citizens will benefit greatly."
To improve connectivity to the airport, ST has also started bus services from Borivali to Navi Mumbai International Airport and from Swargate to Navi Mumbai International Airport. These services will connect major cities such as Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune with the airport. Sarnaik also said the ST Corporation will start more bus services as needed to provide safe, easy and reliable public transport to the airport.
ST's "Lalpari" buses have reached every corner of the state. To let passengers use this large network to reach Navi Mumbai International Airport easily, the corporation will provide the necessary bus services in phases. Dadar is a major transport hub of Mumbai, so a direct bus from there to the airport will prove a big convenience for passengers.
The corporation's e-Shivai electric bus service began today, October 7, 2026. Passengers can travel by these buses to Dadar West, Borivali and Pune.
The fare from the airport to Dadar will be Rs 170. The fare to Borivali has been set at Rs 210 and to Pune at Rs 450. The Dadar bus will run via Sion and Atal Setu. The Borivali bus will also run via Atal Setu.
