Reaching Navi Mumbai International Airport has become easier, with the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) starting a new bus service from Dadar to the airport. Transport Minister and ST Corporation chairman Pratap Sarnaik inaugurated the service. It is an air-conditioned e-Shivai bus service.

The bus will run over Atal Setu, one of the country's longest sea bridges. Passengers leaving Dadar will get a direct, safe and comfortable journey. Dadar is one of Mumbai's busiest and most important traffic hubs. With a bus running straight from there to the airport, both air travellers and daily commuters will save time and money. The stress of the journey will ease and people will have a dependable public transport option.

The route begins at Dadar and passes through Byculla, CSMT railway station, Atal Setu and Gavhan Phata before reaching Navi Mumbai airport. For passengers' convenience, a bus will run every hour.

Buses from Dadar to Navi Mumbai airport will run from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm. Buses from the airport to Dadar will be available from 7 am to 11.10 pm.

The fare has been fixed keeping ordinary people's budgets in mind. From Dadar, Byculla or CSMT, a ticket to Navi Mumbai airport costs Rs 170 for adults and Rs 85 for children.

The ST Corporation has also started bus services on other routes to improve airport connectivity. These include Borivali to Navi Mumbai International Airport and, for people in Pune, Swargate to Navi Mumbai International Airport. Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune will thus all be directly linked to the airport.

Minister Pratap Sarnaik said, "This bus service is important for connecting Navi Mumbai International Airport with ST's extensive public transport network. With a service starting from Dadar, Mumbai's major traffic hub, directly to the airport, air passengers as well as ordinary citizens will benefit greatly."

Sarnaik also said the ST Corporation will start more bus services as needed to provide safe, easy and dependable public transport to the airport. He said it is the Corporation's resolve to connect Navi Mumbai airport with different parts of the state through the large network of the 'Lalpari'.
