Lambretta's Elettra S pairs a vintage look with an electric powertrain, but the company has said nothing about an India launch, price or sales.

Lambretta has unveiled its new electric scooter, the Elettra S, at EICMA 2026. It combines the retro looks of older scooters with a modern electric powertrain, and that blend has drawn attention.

The design echoes the company's earlier scooters, with a fixed front mudguard, trailing-link front suspension and a rectangular headlamp. These elements recall Lambretta's traditional identity.

The scooter has a retro-style digital instrument cluster, which keeps the shape of the older design while using digital technology. A floating seat design and side panels give it a distinct identity, while the LED tail-lamp at the rear sharpens the new look.

The Elettra S has a PMSM electric motor that produces a peak power of 5 kW. It offers three riding modes, Eco, Normal and Sport, so the rider can choose a mode to suit their needs.

The company claims a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter has a 4.5 kWh battery pack and a maximum range of 119 km on a single charge. A full charge takes more than five hours.

Electric scooters such as the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Vida VX2 and Ather are getting a good response in India. Against this backdrop, Lambretta's entry is seen as significant. If the scooter comes to the Indian market, it could be a new option for those who like retro scooters.

For now, there is no information on its launch in India. The company has said nothing about an entry into India, the price or the start of sales. The scooter, shown at EICMA 2026, marks a new start for the company in electric mobility, bringing together retro design, an electric motor and digital features.
