Kia India has announced an expansion of its Assured Buyback Programme. The country's mass-premium automaker said the scheme will now cover its ICE, hybrid and EV portfolios. The company said that fixing a car's future price in advance makes it easier and more convenient for customers to replace or upgrade their vehicle.
Under the expanded programme, eligible customers can get an assured residual value, that is, resale value, of up to 75 per cent on ICE models and up to 70 per cent on EV models over a three-year period. Since the firm future price is fixed at the time of purchase, customers will be able to plan their ownership journey with greater transparency and confidence. The guarantee of up to 70 per cent on EVs is subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The programme covers Kia India's major models, including the Sonet, Syros, new Seltos, Carens, Carens Clavis and Sorento. The scheme applies to all available powertrain options: petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and EV. Keeping in view customers' varying needs, tenure options of 3, 4 or 5 years have been kept for ICE models and 3 or 4 years for EV models.
Mileage options are also on offer. Customers can choose from 10,000 km, 15,000 km or 20,000 km a year. The total distance covered over the entire ownership period is up to 1,00,000 km.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said: "Buying a car is a long-term decision, and customers look for certainty about future resale value and ease of upgrading. By guaranteeing the industry's best resale value of up to 75 per cent on ICE and up to 70 per cent on EVs in three years, we are strengthening customers' trust further. This proves our commitment to delivering continuous value, from the first purchase to the next exchange or upgrade."
The programme will be offered through all of Kia's authorised dealer partners. Eligible customers can enrol in the scheme while buying a new car, according to the applicable parameters. At the end of the chosen tenure, they will be able to receive the fixed buyback value in line with the terms and conditions.
