Kawasaki India has launched the Z650S 2027 street naked bike, which replaces the Z650 and costs Rs 33,000 more than its predecessor.
Kawasaki India has added a new model to its Z series. The street naked bike Z650S 2027 has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.59 lakh. It replaces the earlier Z650 and comes with a new design, updated features and a 649cc engine. It will compete with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Triumph Trident 660.
The earlier Z650 was priced at Rs 7.26 lakh, while the new Z650S costs Rs 7.59 lakh, an increase of Rs 33,000. The bike is available in a single standard variant.
The design retains the company's traditional Sugomi styling. The bike gets a new dual-tone colour combination of Pearl Blizzard White and Candy Lime Green. It has LED headlamps at the front, LED tail lamps at the rear and an aluminium radiator cover. Some design elements of the Z900 can also be seen in the bike. The riding position of the new model leans further forward than that of the earlier Z650.
The bike uses a lightweight tubular diamond frame. Suspension consists of 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a horizontal back-link swingarm at the rear. Braking is by dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. Both wheels are 17-inch alloys, fitted with 120/70 section tyres at the front and 160/60 at the rear. The bike weighs 193 kg and has a 15-litre fuel tank. Seat height is 805 mm and ground clearance is 130 mm.
Features include a 4.3-inch colour TFT digital instrument cluster. Through Bluetooth connectivity, the rider can use the Rideology mobile app, which provides call alerts, message notifications, navigation and maintenance schedule information. The bike also gets traction control, dual-channel ABS and an assist and slipper clutch.
The bike is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine. It produces 67.3 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
