Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 model of its supernaked bike, the Kawasaki Z1100, in the Indian market. The bike is priced at Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in a single variant, a fully loaded standard one, and in one colour, Ebony/Metallic Carbon Grey.

The new model has no major change in price, design, engine or features. It could be an attractive option for riders who like strong performance and an aggressive look.

On design, the Z1100 carries the company's well-known Sugomi design philosophy. Sharp body lines, dual-pod LED headlamps, a muscular fuel tank and a slim rear profile give the bike a sporty look. The handlebar is wide and positioned forward.

The supernaked bike is powered by a 1,099cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 134 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. It comes with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch, which keeps the rider in control while changing gears during hard acceleration. A quickshifter also comes with the bike.

Features include a 5-inch fully digital TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity and support for RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE. The bike also gets cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, three-level traction control and dual-channel ABS.

The chassis is an aluminium twin-tube frame, with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a horizontal back-link gas-charged shock absorber at the rear. For braking, it has Brembo dual semi-floating disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear.

The Z1100 runs on Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres, 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/50 ZR17 at the rear. The seat height is 815 mm, the ground clearance is 125 mm and the fuel tank capacity is 17 litres. The dry weight is 200 kg.

In the Indian market, the bike will compete with the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, priced at Rs 13.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Going by price and engine capacity, the Z1100 is an important option in the premium supernaked segment.
