Kawasaki has given the first look of its new Z300 streetfighter motorcycle. The bike was presented at an event in Bengaluru. Interest in sports bikes is growing day by day in the Indian two-wheeler market, and the Z300, with its eye-catching design, powerful engine and modern features, may appeal to young riders. It is also being said that it could become the cheapest bike in Kawasaki's Z series in India.

According to available information, bookings for the Kawasaki Z300 may begin on October 19, 2026. The official price and features are expected to be announced on October 20. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed these dates.

On design, the Z300 is said to be inspired by the company's popular Kawasaki Z900. It may have sharp body panels, an eye-catching headlamp and an aggressive streetfighter style. With its sporty roadster design, the bike could be a good option for city riding as well as highway runs. With less bodywork and a strong look, the model has the potential to attract young bike enthusiasts.

On the engine, the Z300 is expected to get the same 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine used in the company's Ninja 300. The engine is known for good performance and a sporty riding experience. In the Ninja 300, it produces 38.4 bhp of power and 26.1 Nm of torque. If the Z300 gets a similar engine tune, the bike could perform strongly. However, official figures for the Z300's engine have not yet been released.

The suspension and braking are also expected to be similar to the Ninja 300. The bike may get telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It is also likely to get 17-inch alloy wheels, petal disc brakes on both wheels and dual-channel ABS for safety. This could give better braking and control while riding.

In features, the Z300 could be more modern than the Ninja 300. It may get a TFT display in place of the traditional semi-digital instrument cluster. Smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation are also likely, so that the rider can easily see necessary information on the journey. The company's official announcement on these features is still awaited.

The ex-showroom price of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is stated to be about Rs 3.34 lakh. It is therefore being estimated that the new Z300 could be priced below the Ninja 300. A streetfighter has less bodywork than a fully faired model, which could cut production costs. On the other hand, the TFT display and other modern features could push the price up. If the company sets the Z300's starting ex-showroom price below Rs 3 lakh, it could become an attractive option for customers entering Kawasaki's Z series.

Demand for sporty and premium bikes is rising in India, and the Z300 could prove an important option for the company. Bike enthusiasts are now watching October 19 and 20. Bookings, price, availability and final features will become clear only after the company's official announcement.
