MLA Kishor Jorgewar met Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in Mumbai seeking permanent leases for eligible Nazul land holders in Chandrapur and a faster process.

MLA Kishor Jorgewar met state Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in Mumbai to press for leases for Nazul land holders in Chandrapur. He demanded that the hurdles eligible citizens face in getting permanent leases be removed. Citizens are now watching to see what decision the government takes on these demands.

Jorgewar has begun work on the long-pending issue of Nazul land holders, giving it priority as soon as the graduates' constituency election process ended. He went to Mantralaya in Mumbai and met Bawankule so that eligible Nazul holders in Chandrapur city get permanent leases for their land and the distribution of leases is speeded up. At the meeting he demanded that the various hurdles in the lease distribution process be removed and that eligible citizens be given relief as soon as possible.

The matter of distributing leases for Nazul lands to many citizens of Chandrapur city has been pending for a long time. MLA Jorgewar has been following it up continuously so that these citizens get the leases that are their due. He has now demanded that the process be completed faster, so that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister Bawankule can ensure positive action on the issue.

During the meeting, Jorgewar demanded that directions be issued to complete the drone survey of Nazul lands as early as possible. He said the leases of eligible citizens should not be held up because the survey has not been done or because of delays in the administrative process, and that the survey work must therefore be completed on priority. He also demanded that the process of distributing leases be started immediately for citizens whose required documents are complete.

Jorgewar also put forward one important demand: that a separate department be created to speed up lease distribution, with the necessary officers and staff provided for it. He said that if a separate administrative set-up were available for this work, it would help cases to be settled sooner. The government's decision on all these demands is awaited.
