The coming week is set to be historic for the country's primary market. Jio Platforms, the digital arm of Reliance Industries, the country's largest company, is bringing its large IPO to the stock market.
Along with Jio, a total of nine companies will enter the stock market this week. Six of them will list on the mainboard and three on the SME platform. Together, these companies will raise Rs 31,663 crore from the market. More than 95% of that will come from Jio alone.
Jio is ready to launch the biggest IPO in India's history. The total size of the issue is Rs 30,213 crore. The previous largest IPO was by Hyundai India, at Rs 27,870 crore. Before that, LIC had brought an IPO of Rs 21,000 crore.
Jio's IPO will be launched on October 21, 2026. Investors can bid until October 23, 2026, which is a Friday. However, the IPO will open two days earlier, on October 19. The company has fixed a price band of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share.
Another IPO opens on the same day as Jio's. The Rs 1,450 crore IPO of hospital chain Paras Healthcare will open on October 21. Bids can be placed until Friday, October 23. The company has fixed a price band of Rs 660 to Rs 693 per share.
In Paras Healthcare, investors can bid for a minimum of 21 shares and in multiples thereafter. At the upper price band, a retail investor will therefore have to invest at least Rs 14,553.
The Paras Healthcare IPO includes both a fresh issue and an offer for sale. Fresh shares worth Rs 500 crore will be issued, while existing shareholders will sell shares worth Rs 950 crore. At the upper price band, Paras Healthcare's market capitalisation will be about Rs 7,498 crore.
Of the nine companies to be listed next week, six will be on the mainboard of the BSE and NSE, while three will come on the SME platform. The companies are from different sectors, including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, defence and industrial equipment.
The companies whose shares will be listed include HD Fire Protect, Vaibhav Vyapaar, Ravita Engineering Services, Zetwerk, Tonbo Imaging, Sahajanand Medical Technologies, Bonfiglioli Transmissions and Shellz India.
