There is huge interest among investors in the upcoming IPO of Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. Since the first signs of the IPO emerged, investors have shown considerable enthusiasm for it. It is being seen as one of the biggest IPOs in the country.

According to a report, domestic and foreign institutional investors have registered demand of about Rs 2.5 lakh crore for the IPO. This shows the level of investor interest even before Jio is listed on the stock market. Several foreign investment funds, as well as major Indian mutual funds and insurance companies, are keen to put money into the IPO.

Several major investors are reportedly set to take part in the IPO, including Indian and foreign institutional investors. Among the Indian names are the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), SBI Mutual Fund and HDFC Mutual Fund. International investment firms such as Fidelity Investments, Capital Group and BlackRock are also mentioned.

The names of Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, Norges Bank Investment Management of Norway, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and the Qatar Investment Authority also figure. According to the report, the country's 10 biggest mutual fund companies and five major insurance companies have also shown interest in the IPO.

Jio Platforms began as a telecom company. Its business has now grown to cover several digital services. Besides mobile connectivity, the company works in broadband, cloud services, entertainment and enterprise digital services. Experts say its presence in these varied sectors will give Jio important opportunities to grow earnings.

The IPO will give investors a chance to buy a direct stake in Jio Platforms. Jio Platforms is currently a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. Once it is listed separately on the stock market, the company's business will get an independent market valuation.
