Hyderabad Class 10 student sends mother birthday card by robot on rope ropeway

A Class 10 student from Hyderabad has made a birthday greeting for his mother with the help of a small robot, and a video of it is going viral on social media.

The boy, Bhuvanesh, is keen on robotics and combined that interest with his mother's birthday gift. Using small items lying around the house, he built a ropeway out of rope, and the card travels along it to his mother.

The idea was not only about giving a gift; there is science behind it. Bhuvanesh used an Arduino Uno, an infrared sensor and an RF module, which sends wireless signals. This is what switches the robot on when needed.

When a person enters the room, the sensor registers the movement. The wireless module then sends a message to the other end. On receiving it, the robot starts up and slides forward along the rope.

In the video, Bhuvanesh stands with his hand in front of the sensor. Within moments the system starts working, and the robot carrying the card reaches his mother.

Bhuvanesh shared the video on Instagram from the account @epicrobos. Many people have praised his effort and thinking after watching it. Some are also advising him to work in the field of AI later in life.
