Hero MotoCorp unveils flagship Xpulse 450 with 421 cc engine and 46 hp at EICMA 2026

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its new adventure motorcycle, the Hero Xpulse 450, at EICMA 2026. It will be the top model in the Xpulse series. After several months of prototype testing in India, the company has now brought out the production model. The bike will be sold in India as well as in international markets.

The company has developed a new adventure motorcycle architecture for the bike. The project also drew technical guidance from the Hero MotoSports Team Rally. The company's aim was that the bike should be rideable not only on city roads but also on rough terrain and off-road tracks.

The Xpulse 450 has a 421 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC engine. It produces 46 hp at 9,100 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. With this output, the Xpulse 450 becomes Hero MotoCorp's most powerful production motorcycle at present.

Suspension is another highlight. At the front is a 43 mm KYB USD cartridge fork with 225 mm of travel. The rider can choose from 22 settings for compression damping and 22 for rebound damping, allowing the suspension to be set to suit different roads and off-road conditions.

On design, the bike has a tall transparent windscreen, hand guards, a large radiator and a long seat. The wheels are wire-spoked with a gold finish. The white body carries red and black graphics, with the Xpulse 450 name in large letters.

On technology, it offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, which lets the rider use smartphone features on the bike's digital interface. The company has not yet announced the launch date or price for India.
