A health camp was held in Deoli as part of the "Ganraya Award 2026" initiative run during the Ganesh festival. The camp aimed to look after citizens' health, spread health awareness and strengthen social responsibility. It was jointly organised by Deoli police station and the Shri Bal Ganesh Mitra Mandal committee, Deoli.

A team of expert doctors from seven different medical departments came specially from Shalinitai Meghe Hospital in Sawangi (Meghe) for the camp. The team, which travelled a long distance, examined residents of Deoli and gave them the necessary medical advice and guidance.

Doctors from various departments, including ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics and gynaecology, provided services to residents at the camp. With specialists from many departments available at one place, residents did not need to go to different places. A total of 150 residents benefited from the camp. Getting examination and guidance from specialists across different departments proved of great benefit to them.

Deoli police station started the "Ganraya Award 2026" initiative with the aim that the Ganesh festival should not remain merely a religious celebration but also promote social causes such as health awareness, de-addiction, environmental protection, safety of women and children, traffic regulation and law and order. Under this initiative, Ganesh mandals are encouraged to carry out social and awareness-related activities so that they contribute something constructive to society rather than being limited to the festival alone. This health camp was organised as part of that effort. It helped increase health awareness among residents and strengthened trust and cooperation between the police and citizens.

The successful organisation of the camp was made possible with the special cooperation of the expert medical team from Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, Sawangi (Meghe). Office-bearers of the Shri Bal Ganesh Mitra Mandal committee, Deoli, police officers and staff, and all the cooperating citizens also made valuable contributions to the initiative. The camp went off smoothly because of their combined efforts.

The camp, jointly organised by staff of Deoli police station and the Shri Bal Ganesh Mitra Mandal committee, Deoli, under the guidance of Deoli police station in-charge Sandeep Kapade, proved to be an important step in looking after residents' health and upholding social responsibility.
