Harley-Davidson has launched its newest and most affordable cruiser, built with Hero MotoCorp, with global sales from early 2027 and no India price or date yet.

Harley-Davidson has unveiled its newest and most affordable cruiser motorcycle, the 2027 Harley-Davidson Sprint 440. The company has positioned it against the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and the Honda Rebel 300. The Meteor 350 sells strongly on Indian roads, while the Rebel 300 is popular in overseas markets.

The motorcycle has been developed with Hero MotoCorp. The company is pitching it as a good package for those who want a stylish, light and easy-to-ride Harley.

On design, the Sprint 440 makes good use of the company's older cruiser styling. It has a classic round LED headlamp at the front, which gives the bike a vintage feel while keeping it looking new. A bobbed rear fender, the fuel tank and a low-slung stance make it look like a premium Harley from a distance.

Its biggest highlight is a seat height of just 671 mm, which will benefit shorter riders. First-time buyers of a large cruiser should also find it easy to handle, and riders can stay in confident control in traffic or on long trips.

The bike has a 440cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine. It produces 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, with fifth and sixth gears tuned as overdrive.

This will help when cruising on the highway at 90 to 100 km/h, when the engine will not feel strained and the rider gets a relaxed experience.

The company claims the bike can deliver up to 34 km per litre. The figure is considered good for a Harley.

The motorcycle will go on sale in different markets around the world from early 2027. The company has not yet said when it will come to India or what it will cost.

The 440cc platform was developed with Hero MotoCorp, so the bike is expected to reach the Indian market soon. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 already has a strong hold in India's entry-level premium cruiser segment, and the arrival of the Sprint 440 would make the contest in that segment more interesting.
