Nagpur Metro Rail has changed its passenger service timings for Lakshmi Puja on Diwali. On Sunday, November 8, the metro will run only from 6 am to 6 pm. No trains will be available after that on the day.
Commuters who travel by metro in the evening will need to plan their journey around the revised timings. As the service will not be available after 6 pm, they should keep the change in mind before leaving home.
Nagpur Metro has four terminal stations: Khapri, Lokmanya Nagar, Automotive Square and Prajapati Nagar. On November 8, the first train from all four stations will leave at 6 am, so the day will begin from the terminals as usual.
The last train timing has also been fixed. The final train will leave from the same four stations at 6 pm. Passengers will not get metro service after the stipulated time. They have been urged to note the revised timings before reaching the station and to plan their travel according to the last train.
On Diwali day, trains will run at an interval of 15 minutes.
According to metro officials, passenger services will resume on the normal timetable from the day after Diwali. Commuters will then get the metro service as on regular days. The change applies only to the day of Lakshmi Puja.
