The area around the Nagar Panchayat office in Gondpipri is considered the busiest hub of the town at present. Yet there is not a single public toilet at such an important and crowded spot. As a result, thousands of people face needless hardship every day. Residents are increasingly demanding that the Nagar Panchayat administration build a toilet here immediately.

Banks, schools and shops keep the area busy through the day. Three major banks have offices here: Bhagyashree Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and FDCF Bank. Two large educational institutions, Gajanan College and Janata High School, are also in this part of town. Many big shops and business establishments, including Kale Complex, are located here, so customers, students, farmers and senior citizens come and go all day. The need for a toilet in such a crowded area is plain.

Traders, ordinary citizens and women in the neighbourhood are demanding that the Nagar Panchayat recognise the seriousness of the problem and first build a clean, well-equipped public toilet here. All eyes are now on when the Nagar Panchayat administration will actually act.

The Nagar Panchayat area is the main centre of the town. Hundreds of villagers and women come here every day for various tasks. The lack of a public toilet at such a place is a very serious matter. Concerned citizens say the administration should not play with people's health and convenience and should build a modern toilet here at once. They say they are ready to keep pursuing the administration on the issue.

Sandeep Raipure, a senior journalist from Gondpipri, said, "Big claims are made about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, but the Nagar Panchayat administration has not been able to provide a basic facility in the compound of its own main office, which is unfortunate. Considering the difficulties faced especially by women and schoolgirls, we will keep raising this problem through the newspapers. The administration should now wake up from its slumber."

Vivek Chaudhari, Chief Officer of the Nagar Panchayat Gondpipri, said, "The administration has noted that a public toilet is needed in this area given the growing movement of people. After checking the availability of space and planning the funds, the necessary administrative process to build a well-equipped toilet here will be started immediately. Relieving people's difficulties will remain our priority."

Aruna Tailesh Wankar, a local woman, said, "Because of the banks, schools and shops in this area, we women have to come here for different tasks. We have to stay for hours, but with not a single toilet, we face great difficulty. The administration should immediately attend to this serious problem concerning women's health and build a separate toilet for women here."

Ajay Madurwar, a local trader, said, "There are hundreds of shops in and around Kale Complex. Thousands of customers come here from rural areas to shop. But without a toilet, customers, especially women, are in a bad state. Often they have to ask the shop staff. So a facility is urgently needed in this commercial area."
