Ahead of the public Ganesh immersion procession in Chandrapur city on September 25, the police administration has issued a traffic notice. To prevent crowding and jams on the roads during the procession, District Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani has imposed special orders under Section 33(1)(b) of the Mumbai Police Act. The order will remain in effect from 6 am on September 25 to 6 am on September 26. During this period, all types of vehicles will be completely barred from the main procession route between Priyadarshani Chowk and Jatpura Gate. Alternative routes and authorised parking spots have also been announced for the public.

According to the notice, the entire main procession route, that is, from Priyadarshani Chowk to Jatpura Gate via Kasturba Chowk to Gandhi Chowk, from Jatpura Gate to Ramnagar Road, and from there via Sant Kevalram Chowk to the Ramsetu bridge over the Irai river, will be completely closed to all vehicles. Alternative routes have been created to keep traffic moving in the city. Vehicles coming from Nagpur and headed to Ballarpur or Mul will not be allowed towards Priyadarshani Chowk and will instead be diverted via the Warora Naka flyover, Savarkar Chowk and Bengali Camp. Similarly, vehicles going from Mul or Ballarpur towards Nagpur will also travel via Bengali Camp, Savarkar Chowk and the new Warora Naka flyover.

Light vehicles entering the city from the Nagpur side will be allowed in via Chota Nagpur, Datala Chowk, Devala village and Chorala T-point, through Binba Gate or Pathanpura Gate. Local residents travelling to Nagpur, Wani, Ghugus or Gadchandur will have to use the route via Rahmat Nagar, Nagina Bagh area to Binba Gate and the Chorala-Datala road. Vehicles coming from Ballarpur and Mul will be able to enter the city only up to Anchaleshwar Gate, via the bus station, LIC office and Bagad Khidki, or via Junona Chowk and Prasanna petrol pump through Babupeth.

Citing crowd and security concerns, police have also declared no-parking and no-hawking zones on several main roads in the city. These include Jatpura Gate to Kasturba Chowk, Jatpura Gate to Ramsetu bridge via Ramnagar Road, Jatpura Gate to Priyadarshani Chowk, Kasturba Chowk to Jatpura Gate via Gandhi Chowk, Kasturba Chowk to Anchaleshwar Gate, Gandhi Chowk to Jod Deul via Milan Chowk, Kasturba Chowk to Jail Road Chowk, Dastagir Chowk to Milan Chowk, Milan Chowk to Bajaj Polytechnic College, Hindi City High School to Raghuvanshi Complex, Maulana Azad Chowk to Jayant Talkies, and Chota Bazar Chowk to Pataleshwar temple. Residents, shopkeepers and Ganesh devotees are strictly barred from parking vehicles or setting up stalls on these roads. Those without their own parking can park at the Jubilee High School ground or the parking area beside the municipal corporation building, but vehicles can only be taken out from there after the procession ends.

Several authorised parking areas have been set up across the city for devotees coming from outside, including Chanda Club Ground, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College (Warora Naka), St. Michael's High School (Nagina Bagh), Sindhi Panchayat Bhavan (near Sant Kevalram Chowk, Ramnagar), Vyayam Shala Ground (Pathanpura Chowk), D.Ed. College Ground (Babupeth), and Mahakali Temple Ground. Police have appealed to people to park at these designated spots instead of bringing vehicles into the city. Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani has directed Ganeshotsav mandals to strictly follow their assigned procession sequence numbers and asked all citizens to strictly comply with police rules, warning that legal action will be taken against violators.
