With the festive season under way, online shopping platforms are running big sales. Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale is no longer only about mobile phones, clothes and electronics; it is also a good chance for those looking to buy a two-wheeler. Brand-new scooters and bikes are available on Flipkart from a starting price of Rs 34,000, and customers are showing considerable interest.
When buying a vehicle from a showroom, buyers usually have to pay hefty insurance, RTO charges and other processing fees on top of the ex-showroom price. In Flipkart's sale, vehicles from major brands such as Hero, TVS, Bajaj and Ola come with direct discounts, bank offers and a no-cost EMI option. As a result, customers are saving Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 directly compared with a showroom.
Among electric scooters, entry-level models from Ola and TVS are available in the Rs 34,000 to Rs 40,000 range after bank offers and exchange bonus are applied.
On the TVS Jupiter, a popular family scooter, buyers paying with the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card get 5 per cent unlimited cashback and a special festive discount. The Hero Splendor, India's best-selling bike, is also on the platform and can be bought with a low down payment and attractive EMI options.
Many people wonder how to buy a two-wheeler from an e-commerce website. The process is quite simple. First, book the bike or scooter of your choice on Flipkart and pay online. While ordering, you have to select an authorised dealership near you.
After booking, you will get a call from the dealer showroom. You will have to go there and submit the RTO registration and insurance papers. Once the process is complete, you can take delivery of your new vehicle directly from the showroom.
In this sale, buyers paying with HDFC, ICICI or Axis Bank credit cards get an additional 10 per cent instant discount. An exchange offer is also available for those handing in an old two-wheeler. This makes it a good opportunity for customers to bring home a new two-wheeler this Diwali.
