MP Pratibha Dhanorkar and former MLA Subhash Dhote celebrated Diwali with tribal residents at Jiwati. The two leaders interacted warmly with the people there and extended Diwali greetings to all. Tribal residents and women from the Jiwati area attended in large numbers.

Dhote is the Congress district president for Chandrapur. Guided by the belief that Diwali is not merely a festival of lights and joy but one that strengthens bonds of love, affection, brotherhood and humanity, the two held the event in a cheerful atmosphere. The initiative conveyed a message of social unity, affection and inclusion.

Speaking about her feelings, Dhanorkar said Diwali is a festival of joy, love and humanity. She said everyone in society should get the chance to live with dignity and happiness. She also said she was committed to understanding the problems, expectations and development concerns of tribal communities and securing justice for them. Dhanorkar noted that the true joy of the festival lies in sharing Diwali with them, bringing smiles to their faces and strengthening the bond of affection.

Dhote said the real joy of Diwali lies in bringing the light of happiness, contentment and joy into everyone's life. He said it is a social responsibility to share in the joys and sorrows of tribal, deprived and rural communities in particular, to understand their difficulties and to keep working for their rights and all-round development.

Dhote said Diwali brings true satisfaction only when joy blossoms on the face of the last person and a new light of hope enters their life. He added that this close bond with tribal communities is not limited to the festival, and that he would stand firmly behind them at every stage of their development.

Senior Congress tribal leaders Bhimrao Patil Madavi, Laxmikant Kotnake, Sattarshah Kotnake, Sudhakar Nagose, Amol Kamble, Madhav Doiphode, Parshuram Panchal, Tajuddin Shaikh, Tirupati Pole, Ganesh Shethkar, Shivaji Shriram, Ganesh Waghmare, Madhav Shebale, Pradip Kale, Shabbir Pathan, Akbar Shaikh, Pandurang Hondbe, Ravi Dulgunde and Manoj Argelwar were present.
