A husband, his wife and their four-year-old son were killed in a horrific accident near Gausi-Manapur in the Jamtha area of Wardha Road in Nagpur. The couple were returning home from work on a motorcycle with their children when a speeding trailer hit them hard from behind.

Another child, aged six, was seriously injured. He has been admitted to AIIMS Nagpur, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is said to be critical.

According to the information available, Yogesh Naik was riding the motorcycle with his wife Sunita Naik and their two children. A speeding trailer coming from behind hit their bike near Gausi-Manapur in Jamtha. The impact was so strong that all four on the motorcycle were thrown onto the road.

Yogesh Naik, his wife Sunita Naik and their four-year-old son Gulshan Naik suffered serious injuries. The injuries were so severe that all three died on the spot.

Six-year-old Tanmay Naik was critically injured in the same accident. He was rushed to AIIMS Nagpur soon after, where his treatment continues and his condition is described as critical.

Yogesh Naik was originally from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. He had come to Nagpur for work and lived with his family in the Butibori MIDC area. He was on his way home from work when the accident occurred.

On hearing of the accident, people from the surrounding area rushed to the spot. Police also reached the site soon after and drew up a panchnama. The trailer driver, however, abandoned the vehicle at the spot and fled.

Police are searching for the absconding driver and the investigation is continuing. The Naik family has been struck by grief, and a mood of mourning prevails across the area.
