Bajaj Auto's consolidated net profit rose 62% to Rs 3,436.1 crore in July-September 2026, helped by a surge in exports and electric vehicle sales.
Bajaj Auto has announced its results for the second quarter of FY2026-27. The company's consolidated net profit for July to September 2026 rose 62% from the same quarter last year to Rs 3,436.1 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had posted a profit of Rs 2,122.03 crore.
The earnings were supported by a surge in exports and sales of electric vehicles. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 59% to Rs 25,125.56 crore in the quarter. Total expenses also increased, to Rs 21,107.36 crore, as production and raw material costs rose. Even so, the growth in revenue and profit was a positive for the company.
On sales, Bajaj Auto sold 1.54 million two-wheelers and three-wheelers together in the July-September quarter, against 1.29 million in the same period last year. Domestic sales rose 4% to 770,356 units, while exports grew 41% to 778,528 units.
Total two-wheeler sales rose 20% to 1.28 million units. Two-wheeler exports grew 43% to 676,545 units. Commercial vehicle sales rose 18% to 264,923 units, and exports in this segment grew 26% to 101,983 units.
It was the best quarter so far for the electric scooter brand Chetak, whose sales more than doubled from a year earlier. According to the company, electric vehicles now account for about one-third of its domestic revenue. The company expects the share of electric models in scooter sales to rise from the current 25% to about 50% over the next three to five years.
The premium motorcycle brands KTM and Triumph also performed well. Their domestic revenue rose 45%, and combined sales of the two brands crossed 40,000 units.
In Bajaj Auto's standalone results, net profit rose 35% to Rs 3,353.76 crore. Revenue from operations grew 34% to Rs 20,003.43 crore. Overall, the growth in exports and electric vehicles proved significant to the company's financial performance.
