Amitabh Bachchan slips on KBC 18 set, hurts left knee; says injury is not serious

Amitabh Bachchan slipped and fell during the shooting of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 18" and injured his left knee. Bachchan himself has clarified that the injury is not serious. Known as the "Mahanayak" of Bollywood, Bachchan is often in the news for his social media posts and his acting. This time, he has made news because of his health.

Bachchan informed the audience about his injury himself while speaking to them on the KBC stage. The audience in the studio was surprised to see Big B in such a condition. He told fans and viewers not to worry too much.

Opening the episode, Bachchan said he usually stands at the centre of the stage to deliver his monologue, but could not do so this time because of the knee injury. He said, "I usually stand at the centre of the stage to deliver my monologue, but today my knee is hurt."

He also told the audience how the injury happened. Bachchan said, "Yesterday, during the shooting, I slipped and fell, and hurt my knee." As he said this, he also pointed to his left knee.

On learning of the injury, the studio audience became somewhat worried. Big B promptly reassured them and said the injury was not serious. He also said he would stand while interacting with contestants and hosting the show. Because standing was painful only during the opening monologue, he decided to deliver it seated.

Despite the injury, Bachchan did not halt the shooting of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 18". He carried on with the episode, talking to the audience. The audience in the studio also wished him a speedy recovery.

The episode also touched on Bachchan's personal life. He recently wrote on his blog about his relationship with his son Abhishek Bachchan, their differences and mutual respect.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in the film "Section 84". Fans are therefore curious about his upcoming project as well as the KBC 18 stage.
