Teachers recruited to private schools through the Pavitra portal will get a Shalarth ID within 30 minutes of joining, ending months of waiting for salary to start.
There is relief for teachers appointed in the state's private schools. The months-long wait for salary to begin after appointment is set to end. Once a teacher recruited through the Pavitra portal joins the school, the necessary details will be filled in online. After the bank account and nominee details are entered, the Shalarth ID will be generated in just half an hour. The teacher's entry will also start showing in the school's salary system.
Earlier, the process was long. When a teacher was appointed in a private school, the school sent a proposal with the appointment and joining report to the education officer. The proposal then had to go through the salary unit, the education officer and, where needed, the office of the deputy director of education. In the case of junior colleges, the proposal had to be sent to a level beyond this as well. For this reason, many months passed and teachers had to wait for their salary. Arrangements have now been made to put the entire process online.
Under the new system, after selection through the Pavitra portal, the institution concerned will interview the candidate. The documents will then be verified at the education officer's level. Once verification is complete, the institution can issue the appointment order. The order will be available in the candidate's own login, from where it can be downloaded.
Once the teacher joins the school as per the appointment order, the headmaster or school administration will have to enter the joining details on the portal. The teacher's bank account details and nominee details will also have to be recorded. The Shalarth ID will be generated within half an hour of this information being completed.
After the ID is generated, the teacher will appear as a new employee in the headmaster's login on the school's regular salary portal. This will allow the headmaster to include the teacher's details when preparing the salary bill. The teacher's salary can be drawn along with the following month's salary bill.
The change will reduce the carrying of documents back and forth, repeated visits to offices and the wait for approvals. It opens the way for newly appointed teachers to receive salary on time.
