Rajvardhan Shinde, Sangram Sorte elected unopposed to head Someshwar sugar factory

Shri Someshwar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana in Baramati got a new chairman and vice-chairman today. Rajvardhan Shinde was elected chairman and Sangram Sorte vice-chairman, both unopposed. The election process for both posts was completed today.

The factory's board of directors was elected a few days ago. The panel led by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar won all 21 of the 21 seats. Following that win, the chairman and vice-chairman were chosen today. The selection was made as indicated by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar. Young leader Jay Pawar was present on the occasion.

Shri Someshwar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana is known in the state as the factory that pays cane-growing farmers the highest cane price. The main contest in the election held a few days ago was NCP versus NCP. Purushottam Jagtap rebelled against the panel guided by Sunetra Pawar and fielded a separate panel. Jagtap is considered close to Ajit Pawar. Despite this, in a closely fought contest, Sunetra Pawar's NCP won all 21 seats.

Members of the cooperative elected all candidates of the panel guided by Sunetra Pawar by large margins and handed control of the factory to her panel. While Ajit Pawar was alive, he held undisputed sway over the factory. This time he is not there, and the NCP has split. Purushottam Jagtap, considered among his most trusted men, rebelled. The presence of two factions in the NCP also made the contest tough.

With this selection, responsibility for the factory's new leadership has officially passed to Rajvardhan Shinde and Sangram Sorte.
