The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited has restarted its Dhankawadi bus pass centre from November 1, 2026, after repeated demands from commuters.
Dhankawadi, October 30, 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has reopened its pass centre at Dhankawadi from November 1, 2026. The decision follows repeated demands from local residents and daily bus commuters over a long period.
The pass centre had been shut since the Covid-19 pandemic. People had to travel elsewhere to get bus passes, which caused them considerable inconvenience. Students, salaried employees, labourers, senior citizens and local public representatives had repeatedly asked PMPML to restart the facility to ease the problem.
Keeping these demands in mind, PMPML has decided to resume work at the Dhankawadi pass centre.
According to the transport body, the centre will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 4 pm. It will remain closed on Sundays.
The facility is expected to benefit students, women commuters, salaried employees, labourers and senior citizens living in Dhankawadi and surrounding areas.
PMPML has appealed to commuters to make use of the reopened facility. For more information, commuters can call PMPML on 020-24503236.
