Nine months after the crash that killed former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP leader Jay Pawar will ask the CID how far its investigation has got.

NCP leader Jay Pawar is scheduled to visit the CID office in Pune today. Nine months have passed today since the plane crash involving the late Ajit Pawar, former Deputy Chief Minister of the state and a leader of the NCP. Jay Pawar wants to know how far the investigation has progressed in these nine months.

The CID is probing the crash, but no new information has come out in the case so far. As a result, there is confusion among supporters of Ajitdada, and people are expressing surprise that the mystery of the crash remains unsolved even after nine months. All eyes are now on what CID officials tell Jay Pawar. Jay Pawar is likely to speak to the media after meeting the officials.

After Ajit Pawar's death, MLA Rohit Pawar had voiced suspicion that it was not an accident but a conspiracy. He held several press conferences to present evidence related to it and demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter. Rohit Pawar also demanded that a case be registered first. He had also tried to get a case registered, but no case was registered on his complaint.

Meanwhile, NCP leaders led by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar had met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. They had demanded a CBI investigation into the crash. But the case has not been handed over to the CBI to date. The investigation remains with the CID.

The Opposition has repeatedly attacked Ajitdada's faction over this. The criticism has been that, despite being in power, there appears to be indifference toward the investigation into Ajitdada's crash, and that Ajit Pawar's family is not saying anything about it. Against this backdrop, Jay Pawar's visit to the CID office today carries particular significance.
