The body of Ruksana, a mother of three from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, was found in a Bandra drain on October 18, and her father has accused her partner of killing her.

The death of Ruksana, a mother of three who had come to Mumbai from Uttar Pradesh, has caused a stir in Bandra. On October 18, a decomposed body was found in a drain near a garbage dump in Bandra. When police investigated, it turned out to be that of the missing Ruksana.

Ruksana was from Sadakpur village in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Before her marriage, she had been in a relationship with a young man from the same village named Saquib, but the two could not marry because of social circumstances. Ruksana was later married to a young man from Kanth village, and they had three children.

Her household was running along when, in 2026, Ruksana came back in touch with Saquib, her former partner. Their conversations and meetings increased. Her family tried hard to persuade her, but Ruksana was not willing to stay with her husband and children. She eventually went to Saquib, who drives an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai.

After reaching Mumbai, Ruksana found out that Saquib was already married. Within a few days, Saquib's wife also came to live in Mumbai. After that, there were repeated quarrels and sharp arguments between Saquib's wife and Ruksana.

Meanwhile, on September 26, Ruksana suddenly went missing from Mumbai's Santacruz area. When she did not return home, Saquib himself went to the police station and filed a complaint about her disappearance. Police began a search, but found no trace of her for several days.

After the body was found in the Bandra drain on October 18, Ruksana's father made a direct and serious allegation that her partner Saquib had killed her. This is only his allegation. Ruksana's family has demanded the severest punishment. Deep grief is being expressed over the incident both in her ancestral village and in Mumbai. Mumbai Police are investigating the case thoroughly so that the full truth can emerge.
