Pune, October 24, 2026: The probe into alleged irregularities in a government land deal in Mundhwa has now reached administrative circles. In the case linked to Parth Pawar, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has issued notices to two Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) posted in the office of Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar.

According to sources, the two officers are Vikas Patil and Ram Choubey. They will be questioned about their alleged role in the land deal with Amadea Enterprises LLP. The company is linked to Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar, who is Sunetra Pawar's son.

Amadea Enterprises LLP is at the centre of the entire controversy. Parth Pawar holds a 99 per cent stake in the company, and the remaining 1 per cent is held by Digvijay Patil. Digvijay Patil has been named an accused in connection with the deal. At a recent hearing, the court asked why Parth Pawar had not been made an accused in the case despite holding a 99 per cent stake in the company.

After the court's remark, fresh discussion has begun over the direction of the investigation. The EOW is now examining the role of the people connected with the deal. It is said that investigators have also obtained WhatsApp conversations and some other digital evidence.

Both OSDs were earlier personal assistants to Ajit Pawar, who was then Deputy Chief Minister. Their administrative ties and their possible role in the deal are therefore also expected to be examined.

Senior officers of the Pune Police Commissionerate confirmed that notices have been issued in the case. However, saying that the investigation is under way, they did not make clear whether the notices have gone only to these two OSDs or to others as well.

The officers concerned are likely to be summoned soon to record their statements.

The investigation will look at the alleged irregularities in the land deal, administrative ties and the role of officers connected with the deal. The examination of the WhatsApp conversations and other digital evidence, along with the statements recorded during questioning, will decide what step the EOW takes next.
