Shooters recced homes of four top stars before firing at Tiger Shroff's house, probe finds

Investigators say the accused scouted the homes of Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar, but changed plans because of tight security.

A major revelation has emerged in the probe into the firing at actor Tiger Shroff's house in Mumbai. It has come to light that a conspiracy had been hatched to target four leading Bollywood actors before Tiger. The accused had also conducted a recce of the homes of Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. But security at these homes was tight, so the plan was changed. Tiger Shroff was attacked later, and preparations for it had been going on for two months.

The investigation found that gangster Anil Pandit, linked to the Lawrence gang, had given the instruction to target these big stars. The shooters carried out a recce of the four actors' homes and sent videos of it to Anil Pandit. Because of the tight security, the accused had to change their plan. They carried out the recce for about seven days and then committed the firing.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Mumbai Crime Branch have busted the network that supplied the weapons. Four new accused have been arrested in the case. They include Kunal (21) and Sumit (19) of Sonipat in Haryana. Radha, a resident of Sitapur, and Babita of Azamgarh, both in Uttar Pradesh, have also been arrested.

According to the investigation, Kunal arranged a pistol and 20 cartridges from Amritsar. The weapons were then delivered to the shooters in Mumbai through Radha and Babita. The two women reached Mumbai from Delhi on October 17 and handed the pistols to the shooters. The four accused were produced in court, after which they were handed over to Mumbai Police on transit remand.

Earlier, police had arrested three main accused at Kota railway station on Monday, within 15 hours of the incident. They are Ritik of Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan and Phool Singh, residents of Sonipat in Haryana. The three were trying to flee to Nepal after the incident. All three were brought from Kota to Mumbai, and their medical examination was done at GT Hospital.

Mumbai Police will produce these three accused, arrested in the case of the firing at Tiger Shroff's house, in court today. The hearing is to be held at the Killa Court in Mumbai. The accused are currently in the custody of Mumbai Police's Anti-Extortion Cell, which is interrogating them. During the court appearance, police may seek an extension of the accused's custody.
