The Indian Army is holding a three-day 'Know Your Army' exhibition in Mumbai from October 29 to 31. It is a large equipment and motivational exhibition where members of the public can see Army equipment up close, watch demonstrations and learn about life in the forces.

The exhibition will be held at the Garrison Battalion PT Ground in Colaba Military Station. It will be open to visitors from 9 am to 4 pm on all three days.

It is being organised by Headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area, under Headquarters Southern Command. Weapons and equipment will be displayed, and there will also be military band performances and drone demonstrations.

Visitors can also watch the Army's displays of martial arts, taekwondo, bayonet fighting, Khukri dance, Chendu Melam and Mallakhamb. Motivational videos will be screened, there will be interactive activities, and visitors will get a chance to meet achievers.

One special experience hub will focus on women's empowerment. It will provide information on institutions that prepare young people for careers in the armed forces, including military schools, the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) and Sainik Schools.

Souvenir stalls, food stalls and selfie corners will also be set up on the premises.

According to the Indian Army, the aim of the initiative is to inspire young people, promote patriotism and national unity, and spread awareness of the Army's role in protecting the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

School students and young people will get a chance to learn about a soldier's life, discipline, leadership, courage and service. Ordinary citizens of Mumbai will also be able to understand the challenges faced by soldiers deployed in different operational environments.

The exhibition is open to the general public. Schools, colleges and other educational institutions can also attend.

Venue: Garrison Battalion PT Ground, near RC Church bus stand, Colaba Military Station, Mumbai.

Dates: October 29 to 31, 2026.

Timings: 9 am to 4 pm.

Separately, in the high-altitude, difficult terrain of Ladakh, the Army is strengthening the operational readiness of its mechanised units. Ground training stresses acclimatisation, crew proficiency, equipment maintenance, battlefield mobility, tank formations and surveillance arrangements.

The training also aims to improve coordination and prepare troops for harsh conditions where terrain and weather pose challenges. The Army has described combat readiness and equipment maintenance as important for sustaining operational effectiveness in high-altitude areas.
