Woman, 20, strangled in Yawal; husband detained within hours

A 20-year-old woman was strangled to death in Yawal town of Jalgaon district, and her husband has been accused of the killing. The incident has caused a stir across the area, and residents are in shock.

Fardeen Khan Arif Khan and his wife Mashirabi Fardeen Khan lived in Ayesha Nagar in Yawal. Both were young. Mashirabi had gone against her family for love and set up a home with him. She has now lost her life in that same home.

On Tuesday, only the two were at home. A heated argument broke out between them over suspicion about her character. It escalated so far that, in anger, Mashirabi slapped Fardeen on the cheek.

According to the allegation, Fardeen nursed that slap and the humiliation. He then strangled Mashirabi to death and fled the spot. These are, for now, allegations.

As soon as the killing came to light, Yawal police began action and took the absconding accused, Fardeen Khan, into custody within a few hours.

Mashirabi's mother, Safiyabi Syed Akram, rushed to Yawal from Surat on learning of her daughter's death. A case of murder has been registered on her complaint. Those present at the police station were moved to tears on seeing the mother weeping inconsolably after her daughter's death.

Sub-Inspector Mainoddin Syed is conducting the further investigation into the case under the guidance of Police Inspector Ranganath Dharbale. Silence has settled over Yawal town after the incident, and it has left everyone distressed.
